| 2006/07/19: Ball Semiconductor Incorporated (hereinafter "Ball", HQ: Texas, U.S.A., President: Akihito Ishikawa) and Kbushiki Kaisha Dai-Nippon Kaken (hereinafter "DNK", HQ: Kyoto, Japan, President: Mitsuzou Okamoto) announce that the companies have reached the agreement to form a Corporate Joint Venture for Maskless Exposure Equipment business. The joint venture is named "INDEX Technologies Incorporated" with Mitsuzou Okamoto as the company President. The company will begin its equipment sales from the 3rd quarter of 2006. |

Objectives |
(BALL) Expanding the Maskless Exposure Equipment business it has developed and established by jointing with a successful industrial partner, especially expanding into Flat Panel Display market.
(DNK) Combining its experience and expertise for the development, manufacturing and sales of large Flat Panel Display exposure equipments with Ball's technical expertise for its Maskless Exposure Technologies, the company intends to expand its offerings and reach new users in various up and coming markets, such as Chip Packaging, Flat Panel Displays. |

Joint Venture Objectives |
INDEXTechnologies Inc. will develop, manufacture and market Maskless Exposure equipment and related software for use in production of Printed Circuits, Plasma Display Panels, Liquid Crystal Display Panels, Organic Light Emitting Diode Display Panels. A semiconductor wafer dicing and grinding equipment maker, Disco Corporation, will also be investing into the company and provide some technical support as well. |
