| Ball Semiconductor Inc. appoints new President and CEO |

| Allen, Texas; Dec.1, 2005 Ball Semiconductor Inc., Allen, Texas based semiconductor technology company, appointed new President and CEO, Akihito Ishikawa, the company's former VP-Marketing Director.? Established in 1996, Ball Semiconductor Inc. has focused on research and development of spherical electronic device technologies. Akihito Ishikawa will succeed Hideshi Nakano, the former President and CEO, who has served the position since the founder, Akira Ishikawa's passing in March, 2004. Akihito Ishikawa has been with the company since its planning stage, and worked as a Lithography Process Engineer, Sales/Marketing Manager, VP-Marketing Director. Under his leadership, the company will continue to accelerate its effort for developing and introducing its Spherical Device Technologies.?The company is currently working on BALL SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) Sensor Technologies to be applied for Green Energy, Medical, Safety and Industrial applications,as well as have plans to expand into Spherical Solar Technology development. |
